What Is Promthep Cape?


'Prom' is the Thai word for the Hindu God, 'Brahma' which signifies purity. 'Thep' is the Thai word for 'God.' It has formally been referred to as, 'God's Cape' by the local Phuket people.


Historically, Promthep Cape was a prominent feature for early seafarers, approaching Phuket from the sub-continents. Promthep Cape, is the most Southern point of Phuket Island. It is essentially, headland extending into the sea. This simply stunning location overlooks various Phuket Capes such as Kho Man, Rawai, Yanui and Nai Harn.


You will also find a lighthouse situated here, complete with viewing platform. Kanchanaphisek Lighthouse offers beautiful views into the sea, the surrounding capes and the South coast of Phuket.


Inside the lighthouse you will find an interesting nautical museum. Next to the lighthouse you will find a Buddhist shrine, complete with elephant statues.


A monument to the 28^th Son of Rama V, The Prince of Jumborn, can also be viewed. After leaving for England to become a naval cadet - the Prince returned 6 years later to build the first military base in Phuket.

Phuket Bungy Jumping

The ultimate adrenaline tour - bungy jumping in Phuket. This exciting tour is available 7 days a week from 9am - 6pm. You will have the option of 5 different bungy experiences;

Bungy Jump Procedures

You will be bungy jumping at a height of 50 metres over water. If you would like to be dunked in the water this can be arranged.

You will be asked to fill out insurance forms before being weighed, so that everything can be prepared for your jump.

Your harness will be strapped to your ankles. Everything will fully checked by a registered jump master before your bungy jump.

You will then enter the jump cage. This is a sliding lift which is attached to the crane shaft. You will then begin your climb to the maximum jump height of 50 meters.

Once the bungy jump is over, you will receive a certificate of courage to commemorate the day.

Safety Information:

The bungy jump has been operating in Phuket for 18 years. It is fully licensed and insured bungy jump, which is compliant with strict regulations in relation to bungy equipment and it's safety procedures. The bungy jump is overseen by a registered S.A.N.Z Jump Master.

Phi Phi - 2 Days Diving Adventure

This is an excellent tour designed to maximize your diving time at Phi Phi. This is ideal for people who have dived before and also beginners.

You will spend 2 days diving in and around the Phi Phi area and you will spend the night in an amazing beach front resort.

If you do not want to dive you can try snorkeling. In between your underwater experience, you will visit the most beautiful beaches; Bamboo Island, Monkey Beach, Viking Cave and Maya Beach.

The tour package includes a transfer service by minibus (a transfer charge may apply to pick ups from the Northern Phuket area), all meals which are served buffet style at the Resort, cold drinks and fresh fruit on the boat, twin shared bungalows, English speaking tour guide, diving instructor, dive master, insurance and snorkeling equipment.

There will be a maximum of 12 divers or 16 non-divers on the speed boat.
