The 12th Annual, "Old Phuket Festival" runs in collaboration with the Chinese New Year. This year the festival runs from 3rd February 2011. If you would like to see and experience Phuket culture, this is a perfect opportunity for you. You will have a chance to mix with the local people in a major Phuket festival.
The Old Phuket Festival, takes place in the very heart of the Old Town. The entertainment starts from around 3pm to midnight each day. Many major roads will be pedestrian only zones for this special event.
The Old Town Festival is packed full of entertainment, colour and culture. There are many things to see and do including the, "Phuket Baba Light Show", displays of Chinese folk dancing, Chinese opera performances, acrobats, Kung Fu performances and spectacular parades. You can also take a rickshaw ride around the Old Town's streets.
